Waʻahila Disc Golf Course Build & Park Maintenance
We are excited to announce that The Honolulu Disc Golf Association has signed a new a 1-year Adopt-a-Park agreement with the State of Hawaii/DLNR (for fiscal year 2027) to take care of Waʻahila Ridge State Recreation Area, specifically in the area where the State has agreed to let us install an 18 hole disc golf course!
As part of this agreement, HDGA must have one park cleanup per quarter, beginning in July of 2024. For our third year, HDGA will be scheduling several dates to complete the remaining tee pads and install signage for the course. We will also continue to clear fairways, remove evasive plants, plant native plants, improve and build out connecting trails to each of the holes, remove trash from the park and course, improve and continue to add stairs where needed, identify dangers throughout the park, such as leaning trees, remove graffiti, and repair tee pads, tee signs, and baskets as needed.
ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST SIGN A RELEASE OF LIABILITY WAIVER PRIOR TO DOING ANY VOLUNTEER WORK AT HILA, HOWEVER YOU ONLY NEED TO SIGN THE FORM ONCE FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR; JULY 1, 2026 THROUGH JULY 1, 2027.
If you have already signed up, or plan to sign up and volunteer for any workdays, please complete the release waiver below.
